Design Inspiration
While cherry blossoms are often associated with Japan today, sakura has appeared in Chinese classical texts for centuries. From The Book of Rites to Tang dynasty poetry, it marks the elegance of mid-spring.
In Chinese Buddhist thought, falling blossoms embody impermanence—a visual meditation on the transient nature of beauty and the heroic, uncompromising spirit of moral resolve.
Material · Natural Da Qi
Handcrafted using natural Chinese lacquer (Da Qi), the “king of coatings.” This rare material is harvested from lacquer trees and is celebrated for its resistance to heat, moisture, and corrosion.
Unlike synthetic finishes, authentic lacquer matures over time, developing a deeper, softer glow. Each motif is entirely hand-painted through cycles of lacquering and polishing.
